Dear Catholic Computer Programmers,
I first have to apologize--I signed up as a member of the ACCP, and although I am Catholic, I am only a pseudo-programmer at best! Which, in fact, is what brings me here:
I am a music director in Phoenix, AZ, am a member of the Church Music Association of America, and am actively involved in a movement that I think could soon become a Renaissance in Catholic liturgical music. Aristotle Esguerra, a member of this association and a sacred music colleague, referred me to the group.
Within the last year I established sacredmusicproject.com. The site is currently active and is achieving just a small fragment of what I would like it to become. It is currently publishing the compositional work of my chant teacher, a Benedictine monk who is a master of Gregorian chant--especially in applying the idiom to English liturgical texts. The publishing of his work alone has drawn over 20,000 hits since the site opened about 6 months ago. I have a much grander vision for the site and have made progress in finding the right tools to get the job done. But... as I said, I am not a programmer and am often slamming my head against the wall as I try to edit code and develop the site.
I need your help! Mostly with templating and design, and perhaps with a few solutions. I am very comfortable in admin-ing the site and in producing and managing content, but just need to get setup well to be effective and efficient.
If anyone might be interested in hearing more about this project please email me at adambartlettmusic (at) gmail (dot) com.
I am using WordPress with the Pods plugin for content management. Compensation is available if needed. I welcome anyone who has a similar desire as mine: to serve the good of the liturgy of the Roman Catholic Church.
In Christ,
Adam
