Actually, many people prefer other expressions, stressing the idea of coaching (as Johah said) or company. Everyone is responsable in first person of his/her choices, community and leaders should help, not decide for other people!
Thanks for the welcome. I'm intrested in learning more about the intersect between using technology and the faith. What inspired you to start up this page.
You're right about good naming being vital. Have you read Domain-Driven Design, by Eric Evans? He describes a process for coming up with good names in cooperation with the domain experts for the project.
I love the little Belloc poem above. Funny, I nearly put it on my personal page before I saw it here :)
I just wanted to toss you a quick note and thank you for inviting me to join the site. I haven't had a chance to look around much yet, but so far it looks very cool!
I tend to steer away from hymnal-based LoH settings (as a personal bias), and the so-called gender-neutral language has permeated into the texts of some sturdy lyrics. However, Worship III is easily the best hymnal that GIA offers, with music that will wear well. The integration between hymnal and instrument parts is at a level that was not matched by OCP's offerings at the time I was using both; I would not be surprised if this were the case today.
"How to Solve It" is a little hard to slog through. I think the first time I read it I had to put it aside several times before I got through it. It's at least some kind of framework for problem solving, which is sorely lacking in most curricula nowadays.
There were many parts of "Preparation for Death" I regretted reading before going to bed. But it's the kind of stuff people need to hear if they have any hope of saving their souls. The second half of the book was a lot easier to read than the first part. There is a great deal of practical advice on how to get right with God.

The first time I ran across a web citation in a comment I was very happy. It's a real time-saver for code tweakers like myself - especially if the site reference is solid.
